One possible caveat: Most, if not all, of Microsoft's software contains regional restrictions within the license, forbidding you to buy the software in one location, and then install and use it somewhere else. (i.e. buy in the UK, install and use in the EU.)

Of course, many private users really don't give a dang about regional scope, they just want a legit copy. However, if you are in a situation where more strict compliance with the EULA is important, you might want to keep this in mind.

What say ye?

Maybe you can tackle this one, JME. Seems no one else has a clue. In our computer lab, someone swiched the keyboard to Swahili. As there is no such thing as a backslash (\) key in that language, nobody can even login to change it. Suggestions?

Thank you for the thorough tutorial! My computer took to typing by itself and left me flummoxed. I purchased a new keyboard from the Asus store for thirty dollars, spent five minutes on the installation, and now I'm back in business. One note for anyone else looking for solutions: after installation, some of my keys would type the wrong character when pressed - typing M would get me a 0, K would get me a 2; pressing Fn/ NumLK solves this problem.

All the best!
